Prozac ???

I have been on Prozac (for depression) off-and-on for several years now & it definitely helps. When I started taking it, I was on 20mg/day, but after a while, I did not feel like it was really doing anything, so my doctor upped my prescription to 40 mg. I am now trying to wean myself off after being on it for quite a while. However, I can say without hesitation that Prozac is a wonder drug, so do not be afraid of taking it. However, do be aware that, like me, u may not notice that it is doing anything so u need to be in communication with ur doctor so he/she can make the decision to possibly up ur dosage as well. If that happens, do not worry as it sometimes takes doctors a while & through trial-and-error to hit on the right dosage for each patient. Hang in there -- it will get better.

If u care about ur health, whether that may be ur mental, emotional, physical, spiritual health taken as ONE package that defines ur unique essence, STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM THIS DRUG or from any of its derivatives in the Prozac Family, including but not limited to Cymbalta, Paxil, Zoloft, Effexor, Celexa, Luvox, & Lexapro just to name a few.

Common / extreme withdrawals from this so called wonder drug PROZAC r headaches, tremors, dizziness, insomnia, anxiety, nervousness, agitation, abnormal dreams, drowsiness & fatigue, anger for no reason, flu-like symptoms, hives, epileptic seizures, shakes, sweating/chills, electrical shocks through the head & or body, extreme & excruciatingly painful burning like sensations as if ur skin is on fire, suicidal & or homicidal thoughts & tendencies, & so much more.

I was on Prozac for four years to treat anxiety & depression. It helped me tremendously. I was able to sleep better, I was able to relax, & I stopped obsessing over things that were out of my control. I stopped beating myself up & stopped panicking over inappropriate things. I can not say enough good things about it.

It is definetely not for everyone, but u should be all right since ur doctor prescribed it & diagnosed u with OCD, which is a form of anxiety. Prozac is commonly used to treat anxiety.
