What will happen if I skip a dose of Prozac

If u r on Prozac be careful. You cannot take it one day & then decide not to take it another because u want to drink alcohol. Prozac is already in ur system so missing one on the night of the party wo not stop u from having problems mixing it with alcohol. If u suffer with depression u should not be drinking alcohol. Too much alcohol can add to ur depression. Drink a soda instead & be sensible. Do not mix drugs & booze. Another thing, never just stop taking prozac without consulting ur doctor. I have been on Effexor for a long time & if I just decided to stop taking it I could have a seizure. Side effects to start with r dizziness, lightheadedness, unable to focus & concentrate, euphoric state. So remember, if u want off the prozac see a doctor.

Do not ever skip. Your doctor put you on it for a reason - take care of your health that is the most important thing. If you skip - you will not get enough of the medicine to build up in your system. It takes about 3 weeks i think for the prozac to kick in - sorry i'm a psych major, so i strongly suggest not skipping, or talk to your doctor for other alternatives.

You will be fine if you skip one dose. you are on a very small dose of it. Just remember if you do not take it it wo not help you.
